Ukhozi FM, in partnership with Vodacom and Boxer Cash and Carry, is launching its first DJing competition.
Auditions for the competition, which is titled The M-PESA Top Stars Radio DJ Search, will be held at six KwaZulu Natal locations from 7 May, offering South Africans between 18 and 25 an opportunity to join the popular radio station.
Locations to be visited include Vryheid (7 May), Ladysmith (14 May), Empangeni (21 MAY), Port Shepstone (28 May), Pietermaritzburg (4 June) and Durban (11 June).
Alberts Breed, Vodacom KZN Managing Executive, says: "Vodacom believes that investment in people is a hugely rewarding experience, with Vodacom M-PESA Top Stars we hope to unearth the great talent that exists within our youth. Although this is a competition, it is also a campaign that will celebrate our eclectic youth culture and create a platform for their expression. The intensive nature of the contest will offer contestants a great opportunity to develop new skills, and by doing so we also aim to increase employment opportunities amongst our youth."
Those who wish to enter should SMS 'M-PESA Star, Town/City, and their name' to 33106, or visit selected KZN-based Boxer Superstores for details.
