Coldplay coming to South Africa in October 2011

Coldplay will be performing live for the first time ever in South Africa on Wednesday 5th October at Cape Town Stadium and Saturday 8th October at FNB Stadium Johannesburg. The tour is presented by 94.5 KFM, 94.7 Highveld Stereo and M-Net.

Coldplay’s songs have captured millions of fans around the world since the release of ‘Parachutes’ in 2000. A critical and commercial triumph, ‘Parachutes’ debuted at number one on the UK Album Chart and was nominated for a Mercury Music Prize. After the success of ‘Parachutes’, Coldplay began to work on their second album ‘A Rush of Blood to the Head’ (2002) which spawned popular singles ’The Scientist’, ‘In My Place’ and ‘Clocks’ winning Record of the Year at the 2004 Grammys.
