Rolling With Zola 7 on e.tv

Ok, a part of me tells me that e.tv was feeling sorry for Zola & decided to offer him a job, while on the other hand - they needed to revamp their programming... That is also called beating two birds with one stone! Uhmmmm, I'm gonna leave politics to politicians before e.tv calls me for a DC hearing *No Pun Intended, for real* (side eye) ----------> Politics Aside!

You might want to diarise Sunday, 25th September - Noooooo, Jesus is not coming back on that day.... but because we will see Zola rolling back to our screens with his new reality show, Rolling with Zola. The unscripted reality show, which premieres on e.tv chronicles the life of the Bonginkosi "Zola" Dlamini and captures his personal quest to unearth new talent to collaborate on an album...

The 13 part docu-reality series captures Zola’s journey from his tough childhood in Soweto to his multifaceted career as an entertainer as well as his tour throughout South Africa as he goes on a mission to locate 6 talented South African musos. Through it all, Zola will face his past, flaws and future head-on, giving viewers a glimpse into his life.

" We are excited about this show, the series gives e.tv a perfect platform to celebrate ordinary South Africans that contribute to the rich, unique tapestry of arts. Zola has a very open minded, creative approach to South African music; he is a self-made man and is truly passionate. Those traits and the fact that he has a wide-spread appeal make him an obvious choice for a show that aims to give talented ordinary South Africans a platform"
Monde Twala, Group Head of e.tv Channels Division, says

Zola says: "There is tremendous talent in South Africa waiting to be unearthed, people who are naturally passionate about music and do not care about occupying a space in the spotlight. The sad reality is that the more people start being aware about you as an artist, the more they become interest in who you really are, behind that performer’s mask. Most of the young up and coming musos need to prepare for the fact that with living their dreams, certain challenges will come. I have learnt the hard way that the temptation to delude yourself and your fans is great but one needs to remain true to themselves despite the challenges. That determination, coupled with the creative dynamism is what any aspiring artist should never let go of."

The 6 individuals discovered on the show will record songs with Zola. Rolling with Zola premieres on Sunday, 25 September at 06.30PM.
