Behold..... Culoe De Song's EXODUS is finally here!

Culoe De Song's EXODUS album cover

The light at the end of the tunnel this time is neither the long awaited return of Jesus nor the sharp summer morning sun, but Exodus.

Indeed Culoe De Song, real name Culolethu Zulu’s long awaited third studio album is titled  EXODUS and has finally hit the shelves after being postponed thrice.  The album with ten impeccably composed and arranged pieces certain to take you on a musical journey a few have ever been to, can easily command a acme position amongst best produced album in 2013.
Exodus presents a much more mature, authentic and incredibly inspired Culoe with each song narrating a different and captivating story. The journey of Exodus begins with what many can easily describe as an African village ditty “Exodus”. Apart from the already popular club bangers such as NO CONTEST, Ma Africa and Lovin’ Marvin the introduction of some fresh talent such as Thandi Draai, Soulstar, Moneoa and veterans such as Shota, Khanyo Maphumulo of Sarafina fame, Kabomo, Ternielle Nelson and more, makes it an easy to listen to album, best described by many musicians and industry peers as Culoe De Song’s most iconic work

Culoe De Song’s A Giant Leap introduced him to the industry and scored him thousands of fans across the globe, with much laudable collaborations from some of Africa’s musical icons like the late great Busi Mhlongo, Salif Keita, Thandiswa Mazwai and Jimmy Dludlu. It is the same album that saw him perform alongside seasoned DJ’s all over the world. In 2011, Culoe De Song went on to release his second album Elevation, which had all the ingredients of a smash hit album -which in all aspects lived up to. Elevation is the album that got a lot of people taking notice of his talent and certified potential longevity and brilliance.

Exodus is available at all music stores including Look & Listen, Musica, CNA, Game Stores, Makro and on Itunes.  The album exudes a distinct feel to it, fusing all his influences, creating what is now the future sound of house music, refreshing and distinctly African.

A double tot of whisky for Gauteng as The FNB Whisky Live Festival extends to Soweto

South African whisky lovers will once again be treated to a range of the most aspirational & exciting spirits on the market at this year’s FNB Whisky Live Festival taking place at the Sandton Convention Centre from 06 to 08 November 2013. This premier whisky tasting experience is a celebration of the best whiskies from around the globe and has been hosted in Johannesburg and other international destinations such as Paris, London, Tokyo, New York, Taipei and Shanghai for the past 10 years. Owing to the growing number of whisky drinkers in Gauteng, the FNB Whisky Live Festival organisers announced today that an exciting new venue will be added to the Gauteng segment of the festival: the iconic township of Soweto.

The inaugural FNB Whisky Live Festival in Soweto will take place at the University of Johannesburg Soweto Campus from 24 to 26 October 2013. Capturing the intrinsic values of Sowetan culture, the FNB Whisky Live Festival will be transformed into a new-look whisky lifestyle “village”, offering elements of jazz, fashion, Shisa Nyama outlets and true Sowetan hospitality. Local restaurants, such as Back Room, Nex Dor and Wandie’s Pub, will host whisky lounges – access to these VIP lounges will be the ultimate “badge” statement and certainly the place to be seen savouring whisky. The key focus will remain on whisky education and recruiting new-to-whisky drinkers. Core elements of whisky education, integral to the success of the Sandton event, will be incorporated into the mix.

The FNB Whisky Live Festival in South Africa is still the largest whisky and lifestyle event of its kind and will continue to boast the experiential, “edutainment” format that has contributed to its popularity among whisky enthusiasts over the years. Visitors can look forward to the unique opportunity of exploring the world of whisky from a wide selection of premium brands, and to sampling rare and sought-after whiskies. The experience also includes meeting the producers and master distillers of some of the greatest whiskies in the world.

KEY DATES
Soweto: 24 – 26 October 2013
Sandton: 6 – 8 November 2013

Tickets can be purchased on www.whiskylivefestival.co.za
