PARLOTONES WORLD TOUR

Award-winning South African band The Parlotones will perform two shows at Carnival City’s Big Top Arena in Brakpan on 21 and 22 April, before immediately heading off on a world tour. After playing to local audiences, the band will head off to the USA in May for a 27-city tour, followed by Britain and Europe. The tour comes ahead of the release of their fourth studio album at the beginning of May.  Recorded in both Johannesburg and Cape Town, the album offers fans 12 brand new melodic rock tracks.

Explaining the title of their new album, band member Kahn Morbee says ‘Journey Through The Shadows’ is a metaphor for the human experience. You’re not given a guidebook or map at birth that guarantees the smoothest path. Ultimately, we all walk through with a candle that only allows us to see so far in front of ourselves. You never know what’s around the corner, so it’s an analogy for life.”

Since their first appearance in 2003, the band has performed to critical acclaim to audiences around the world.  In addition to their unique sound, they are also known for their polished stage performances and in addition to new tracks, fans can also expect to hear old favourites such as Beautiful.

The four-member band consists of Kahn Morbee on vocals and guitar, Neil Pauw on drums, Paul Hodgson on guitar, and Glen Hodgson on bass, piano and backing vocals.

The show starts at 20h00 and tickets are available from Computicket between R161.00 and R212.00.
