The Repertoires make their return to Vuzu

Yaaay... Vuzu stays WINNING, doesn't it?

Love 'em, or Hate 'em... but the coolest boys with SWAGG 4 dayz in Jozi are back on the box! Excuz' me, I had 2 put some lil swagg on this article 4 obvious reasons...

The Repertoires, which consist of Nthato Malete, Larry "Larryngitis" Mncube-Nhlane, Michael Makwala, Senhle "T-Chama" Mazibuko, The Thundacats & Tejee "DJ Ellipsis" Mbuyamba will be back on our screens as soon as 29 February.

The hugely popular Running With The Reps returns to Vuzu and Larry promises “some of the best footage to come out of South Africa”.

“There will be more drama, more dancing and viewers will see the Reps become an even bigger entity,” the co-founder of the dance crew reveals.

Episode one airing on Wednesday 29 February at 19:30 picks up with a recap of all the drama from season 1. We find out what the boys have been up to since, and most importantly, has the conflict between Nthato and TJ been resolved?

From there on in it’s all about how this long-standing crew of hip-hop dancers take it to the next level – with their dancing, their careers, their personal lives, their business and of course, their singular style which launched hundreds of copyists during Season 1 of Running with the Reps. Of course, the other big question is whether all of this is possible when The Reps once again move into The Rep Mansion! As fans of Season 1 know all too well, living under one roof isn’t always easy and can make for divisions within the group.

But staying together also means instant parties and, as Season 1 proved; The Reps know how to get their party on. Episode two of Season 2 follows the guys as they head out for a night on the town, though just as the night ends, drama awaits for some members of the crew. Could it be downhill from there as Running With The Reps Season two hits its stride? Or do the boys have what it takes to make up and pull together to prove to South Africa and the world that their plans for an empire and world domination are not just a pipe-dream?

Tune into episode one of Running With The Reps Season 2 on Wednesday 29 February at 19:30 – only on Vuzu.

The crowd can expect to hear Mo and the Dark Knights’ fusion of funk, kwaito, hip hop, rock and soul, songbird Busi M’s jazz and dance beats, Shoelace’s “pop rock with African elements, blues and soul”, Mapak’shop ‘s Motswako hip hop rap, Mo Klassik’s hip hop and afro pop with an R&B influence and Zulu rapper Abdus’ lyrical rhymes.

“The aim of the competition was to provide a platform for existing musicians to promote their art and get exposure on a national level, as well as mentoring from credible music industry business people,” Seretlo says.  Judges included Thabiso Khati - who has worked with artists ranging from Lucky Dube to L-Tido - local rap group Teargas and music mogul Zakes Bantwini.

Besides the main act of R&B  superstar Usher, the Hansa Festival of Legends will feature performances from established musicians Gang of Instrumentals, Liquideep, Teargas and Zakes Bantwini with Oskido, Vigilante, Capital and DJ Tira on the decks.

Lungile Radu joins Vuzu

Lungile, Thomas & Siya (from left to right)

I'll speak for myself (& thousands of other women in Mzansi) ... I can never get tired of seeing 'Lungsta' on my box, so this was one of those great media releases since the birth of 2012 *Aha*

Moving along to things that matter...

The headline says it all... popular and charming Lungile Radu, or ‘rather Lungsta’, as affectionately known; would be part of Vuzu’s new reality show, ‘Forever Young’. Vuzu’s brand new homegrown show takes reality television into a totally new realm – one where big dreams, leaps of faith, inspiration, aspiration, and the pursuit of personal success are the point of everything!

Titled Forever Young - with the tagline “Get Busy Living” – the show follows a trio of young South Africans determined to follow their heart and live in the moment in pursuit of their (BIG) dreams! That trio is headed up by Lungile Radu, who first entered the hearts and lives of Africans as part of the Channel O team, alongside Siyabonga Ngwekazi and Thomas Gumede, who are regulars on Vuzu.

Lungsta

Viewers would remember Lungile as the host of Fear Factor South Africa season 2. In 2007, Lungile made his screen acting debut in the leading role of "rich boy" Sibusiso Vilakazi on the soapie Rhythm City. More recently Lungile has hosted the hugely successful Channel O show, ‘Goal Diggerz’.
Siya

Siyabonga Ngwekazi is another highly experienced South African entertainer. Over the years, Siya has hosted everything from Street Journal to The Real Goboza, V Entertainment, Top Shayela & is a radio presenter (YFM 99.2)

Thomas Gumede
Completing the trio is Thomas Gumede, who successfully combines acting and comedy. Gumede has had several acclaimed dramatic roles including that of Siphiwe in A Place Called Home, Bay Of Plenty, Backstage, Home Affairs and Soul City.

Episode one of the show introduces viewers to this trio of guys and the people around them, as they make plans to go to Brazil where the drama and fun is only just beginning. Expect to see full-on conflict (sometimes between the guys themselves), and also great heights as Lungile, Siya and Thomas make a play for success in the fashion and entertainment world.
Forever Young starts on Friday, 9 March at 19:00 – ONLY on Vuzu!
