THE SABC TO LIGHT UP THE 35TH ANNUAL J&B MET

Yesss... I know SABC is not our favourite broadcaster right now; especially because they are not broadcasting all AFCON matches; but hey - shall we now look on the bright side?

Big Ups to SABC for securing rights to the 35th Annual J&B MET. The Kenilworth Race Course in Cape Town is mos def the place to be on the 28th January 2012!!! For the rest of us Broke TYPICAL Africans who went overboard KA DECEMBER BOSS... The 'DO' will be broadcast live on SABC3 from 14:30, nooo doll, u don't need a dish!

For those of us in the dark... The J&B MET is an annual golden circle horseracing event to which for decades has drawn over 50 000 of tireless fashion junkies, the rich and famous and thousands who seek to explore the intensity of life in the hubbub of the milling crowds...

You will get to experience the two and a half hour broadcast of the event, starting with the glitz and glamour of the “Live Red Carpet “at 14:30 on SABC 3, presented by Top Billing’s Jeannie D and Metro FM’s Tbo Touch. The horse racing spectacular will follow at 15:00.

MAKE SURE YOU ARE AT THE FOLLOWING VENUES THIS WEEKEND:

If you are a groupie... Get your behind at the Gugulethu Square Mall on Friday, 27^th January from 12h00 -16h00 for an afternoon of fun Mzansi-Fo Sho-Style get together, powered by SABC 1. You might just see yourself on stage with one of your favourite stars and stand a chance to win awesome prizes with the finest entertainment on offer.

ISIDINGO actors will hold a 2 hour autograph-signing at the Cavendish Square Mall on Sunday, 29^th January from 10h30 – 12h30.

METRO FM will broadcast their shows as follows:

·         Breakfast Show (6 – 9AM) from the Expresso Studios. This will be a joint broadcast with SABC3’s EXPRESSO show. This is where the viewers will get an opportunity to see what happens in radio on a television platform.

·         Drive Time (15h00 – 18h00) will broadcast live from Robben Island.

·         12h00-15h00 and 15h00-18h00 “Sunday Soul Sessions” with Paul Mtirara and Eddie Zondie respectively at a picnic in Ostrich Farm, Stellenbosch. The public is welcome to join in on what promises to be the best Sunday afternoon thus far.
