- The jewel in the City of Joburg’s cultural crown, Joburg Theatre Complex, is hosting 37 shows at its three different theatres – The Mandela, The Fringe and Space.com.
- There are 15 different nations partnering with Arts Alive 2011.
- This includes several of the BRICS countries – South Africa (of course), Brazil, India and China.
- Other countries participating are France, Cuba, Taiwan, Portugal, Jamaica, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, the UK and USA.
- There are 160 FREE SHOWS OR EVENTS on offer during the festival, within the 20 free products and events in the programme.
